On the 28th of March, Kyabje Penor Rinpoche, supreme head of the Glorious Palyul lineage and one of the most renowned living masters of Buddhadharma in these times, arrived in Mindrolling to pay his respects to the Kudung of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen.

Kyabje Penor Rinpoche was accompanied by several pre-eminent teachers of the Nyingma School— H.E. Gyangkhang Rinpoche, H.E. Mugsang Kuchen Rinpoche, H.E. Dzognar Yangsi Rinpoche, H.E. Rigo Tulku Rinpoche and 15 monks of the Palyul Namdroling Monastery.

The last day of the ceremonies of the parinirvana of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen was held on the 29th of March and was blessed by the presence of Kyabje Penor Rinpoche. Vast offerings of butterlamps, flowers and feast offerings were made and beautifully arranged filling the entire front of the courtyard.

The entire monastic sangha of Mindrolling and thousands of the lay community gathered in the front courtyard of the monastery to receive the blessings of the Kudung and join in the ceremony.  Kyabje Penor Rinpoche presided over the ceremony of Thugje Chenpo Desheg Kündü.

Also attending the ceremony were H.E. Gyangkhang Rinpoche, H.E. Mugsang Kuchen Rinpoche, H.E. Dzognar Yangsi Rinpoche, H.E. Rigo Tulku Rinpoche, the Chödön Kalön (Minister of Religious Affairs of the Central Tibetan Administration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama), the representative of the Nyingma School of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile and Richard Reoch (President of Shambhala International). The entire day’s ceremony was sponsored by Nyingmapa Mahabuddha Vihara office and administered by H.E. Khochhen Rinpoche.
