A Time for Offerings

All the program participants also joined the monks for the auspicious 10th day or Guru Rinpoche Day Saddhana practice. All the participants gathered to make offerings to all the monks and nuns and request prayers. Hundreds of butter lamps were also offered.

On the 10th day, the Guru Rinpoche Day, the participants joined the practice in the main shineroom of the monastery.

The participants joined in the chanting of the evening prayers and made offerings to all the monks and nuns on the auspicious day.

Helping with the Gardens

The participants also had the opportunity to earn merit and work together as a sangha when Rinpoche organized for everyone to assist the garden staff in the planting of new flowers and bushes around the World Peace Stupa. This was an activity much enjoyed by all the participants and appreciated by the garden staff.

Participants and staff are ready to begin the planting.

Everyone participated in the gardening.

It was a beautiful sunny day—perfect for planting.

The results were very satisfying.
